In a very surprising move, DA leader -Helen Zille and Agang leader - Mamphela Ramphele are in agreement that there is a need for unity against the Anc. Previously, these two female leaders entered into a very short-lived agreement that would see Ramphele become DA's presidential candidate.
Yesterday they both appear publicly for the first time after their arrangement failed in just less than a week. It was surprising though that they appeared to be in harmony and agreed on a number of issues during election debate.
"The boundaries dividing political parties are obsolete," Zille said
Ramphele still insists that there is a need for a new coalition in order to unsit the Anc. "There is a bad story in this country and we need to face up to it. All we fought for is threatened." said Ramphele.
